Since its inception in 1999, the La Vista Community Foundation has improved the lives of thousands of residents through its grant-making program. The Foundation makes grants to organizations, projects, and initiatives in the areas of youth and senior services, arts and cultural activities, civic improvement, health, social welfare, education, and recreational facilities. Grants are available in the fall.
The mission of the La Vista Community Foundation is to provide leadership in funding community needs through caring, broad-based efforts that assist people, groups, and businesses in contributing to the betterment of the La Vista Community.
The Foundation is accepting applications for its 2011 granting cycle. Completed applications are due by noon on Friday, October 14, 2011.

Applications will also be available at the La Vista City Hall and the La Vista Public Library.
