La Vista Community Foundation
La Vista, Nebraska – La Vista Community Foundation, a leading advocate for the La Vista residents and business community, is proud to announce the recipients of our 2023 grant cycle. These grants represent a commitment to supporting impactful projects and the organizations that are empowering individuals in our community for the better.
We received a record number of applications this year, reflecting the growing areas of need in our community. We are able to match that increased need with our largest grant giving cycle to date awarding out over $45,000 this year.
We are very proud to also announce that since 2020 we have been able to give out over $150,000 to our community supporting a wide range of projects and organizations that address critical needs in education, transportation, food insecurity, homelessness, veteran’s services, mental health, community safety, women’s services, STEM, community beautification and general community enhancements. Through these grants we have been able to impact over 20,000 individuals and businesses in and around our community for the better.
Our 2023 Grant Recipients are:
Recipients will receive a varying amount of funds to support their projects throughout 2024 in the La Vista Community. Our grant program is a part of our ongoing commitment to create positive change and support the development of La Vista by investing in projects and organizations that support our community. - La Vista Police Department - $4,500
- NeighborGood Food Pantry - $9,481.95
- College Possible - $2,500
- All People’s Pantry - $1,000
- Assistance League of Omaha - $1,000
- La Vista Public Library - $575
- Share a Fare - $3,000
- City of La Vista Employee Enhancement Fund - $10,000
- La Vista Gives - $2,500
- Papillion La Vista Schools - $2,500
- American Legion Post 32 - $1,500
